The production and sale of poisonous or other lower quality foods is a serious crime that threatens the lives of people,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], yet instead of being stamped out this crime seems to be on the rise. When during the summer it was discovered that our fish markets were full of lead filled crabs and lead filled globefish,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the KFDA set up "bad food hotlines" around the country for people to report similar problems. It established a special task-force to put an end to the production and distribution of dangerous foods,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but this has not been enough to stamp out the circulation of dangerous foods from imported products to domestic vegetables thoroughly tainted with poisonous farming chemicals. And now that the economy is wavering again more seem willing to risk this crime to make extra cash now in a way similar to the outbreak of the economic crisis of 1997.

When domestic rule shakes so much that we see illegal loans and bribery scandals surrounding us it is only a matter of course that the food we eat is poisoned by this lack of any sense of morality whatsoever. Cho Hung Bank (CHB),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the largest creditor bank for ailing Ssangyong Cement Industrial,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is expected to complete a W400 billion debt-for-equity swap with the firm on Monday.
